VISABLE / OPENwALL SERIES . ed 04

For our upcoming group exhibit, we are seeking work in all creative mediums by artists who consider themselves to have physical, intellectual, or mental health disabilities. Submissions don’t have to focus on issues of disability—the exhibit is designed to celebrate the talent, vision, and abilities of members of our community who thrive despite a broad range of access inequities.

Using the form below, please submit up to 3 pieces for consideration. We will select one piece per artist for the exhibition.
Please provide a digital representation of the work for review and so we can plan the exhibition. We will send you notice of the work that is selected for the show.

ELIGIBILITY:

This exhibition is open to submissions by artists of all ages from Connecticut and around the world who consider themselves to have a physical/mobility or cognitive/developmental/mental health  disability. This call for submissions includes (but isn’t limited to): photography, paint on canvas, pop art, video art, animation, poetry, recorded music or sound, and fine crafts such as textiles and ceramics. Artists may submit multiple works and all submitted works must be original creations by the artist.

VISABLE will open at Free Center Middletown on OCTOBER 15TH, 2021.
The exhibit will also be offered virtually on the Free Center website.
