CARE FREE is a community health initiative aimed at uplifting all the ways in which we can take care of ourselves and each other. We want to ask our community and partners: How do you practice care?

Hartford HealthCare provides a wealth of medical services and support, and has been a partner with Free Center to bring their Mobile Mammography Van to our community members.

The Hartford Gay and Lesbian Health Collective provides a range of services and programs as well as safe and private resources for Queer community members. They have provided rapid HIV testing on site at our Care Free events.

The Phoenix is a sober active community. They have been a support at Care Free events and have offered free community fitness, yoga, and sound healing at Free Center weekly since 2021.

Griffin Health was a primary partner in pop up Covid-19 vaccine and booster clinics, as well as a resource to community members with Covid-related questions.

The Ministerial Health Fellowship was a key partner in facilitating our collaborative Covid-19 support groups.

Love Your Menses provided free period products at Care Free events! They promote menstrual equity and support youth and their parents through education, resource connection, cultural exchange, and mentorship.

Health Equity Solutions mission is to promote policies, programs, and practices that result in equitable health care access, delivery, and outcomes for all people in Connecticut.

Toivo was a partner in our Care Free Covid-19 support group collaboration.Toivo is a peer-run, non-profit initiative through Advocacy Unlimited, Inc. that includes statewide classes, workshops and a center for holistic healing and stress management.

Lauren Little Edutainment specializes in farming, innovative urban agriculture curriculum & environmental education for all ages.

Every Kinda Lady provided a creative writing workshop for a Care Free event, facilitating a space for community members to explore and express their emotions.

Free Hart Closet is a project of Mutual Aid Hartford and is currently located inside Free Center Hartford. They collect and distribute free quality art supplies for community members.

Fruitful Ascension Wellness is a locally-owned wellness company.

Story and Soil is a locally-owned coffeeshop in Hartford and Middletown.

The Underground Coffeehouse is a student-run shop preparing artisanal, micro-roasted coffee at Trinity College.

Summer of Solutions Hartford advocates for food security, encourages youth leadership, facilitates community workshops on equity and inclusion, and helps our own communities regain power over their own food production.
