Description This project presents original music and video footage that tells the story of pioneers in the Hartford music and arts scene. This project is directly inspired by The Lost Tribe’s most recent recording project, WLCT Radio. This five-part EP is a result of interview content among three Hartford artists (Jocelyn Pleasant, Asaad Jackson, John Manselle-Young). Their interview content centered on Black identity, hip hop and other related topics. The music of the EP then incorporated the words of these artists into songs that spoke directly to Blackness and these artists experiences in Black arts.
