Jeanika Browne-Springer | Read My Lips | Throughout this pandemic we’ve had to wear masks to protect our health and that of others. I miss being able to see a friend’s full face or to smile at a person passing by just to brighten their day. When I get home, I take off my mask, look in the mirror, and examine the lips no one else is supposed to see. I love my Black lips. I only wish you could read them when you see me.
